2005 Derby winning fish caught on an Opti-Dodger!
Mike Casteel of Roseville, IL is the official winner of the 2005 KD Salmon Derby. Mike and his buddy Bob Makiney
were fishing off of Washington Island, WI, when they caught this 26.55lb, 39", Lake Michigan King Salmon.
The fish was officially weighed in at Kap's Marina on Washington island. This fish was caught on a
"Chrome/Silver Scale" # 01 Opti-Dodger and a Green Fly.

Another proud 2005 derby winner is Jim Huffman of Port Hope, Ontario. Jim won the 3rd week of the Great Ontario salmon
Derby sponsored by Toronto Sun on Lake Ontario. The winning King was 29.2 LB Lake Ontario King Salmon, caught on a
"Dolphin" Opti-Dodger with crushed Ice tape on the front # 306 and a homemade 3 fly rig (Green/Silver).
